About Kingsthorpe Grove Primary School

At Kingsthorpe Grove, we are a warm, inclusive, and thriving school deeply rooted in the heart of our vibrant community. Our firm commitment is to deliver truly inspirational teaching and learning experiences, ensuring every child feels safe, valued, and empowered to achieve their very best.

Working hand-in-hand with our parents, cluster of like-minded schools and the wider community, we guide and  nurture children with clear goals of developing their aspiration, communication and respect to help them become enthusiastic, lifelong learners who contribute positively and responsibly to the world around them.

What Makes Us Unique?

Our fundamental ethos is one of inclusion, where every member of our school community is not only valued but encouraged to flourish and find success.

Nurture lies at the very core of Kingsthorpe Grove. We provide sensitive and comprehensive support, creating an environment where everyone feels secure, enabling them to learn freely and confidently.

The school is dedicated to delivering a well-planned, vibrant, and engaging curriculum. Built on educational research, our curriculum strives to develop rich knowledge and foster a genuine passion for learning.

With a focus upon growth mindset we encourage children to understand their current learning position and confidently identify their next steps, nurturing a positive, 'can-do' attitude. The spirit of challenge alongside support is inherent in our approach, sitting seamlessly alongside our positivity and deep sense of empathy for others.

Our main school site and St Davids site are a true asset, featuring a dedicated Forest School area, climbing frames, a dedicated Sports Hall and large fields. These spaces allow us to embrace immersive outdoor learning, fostering curiosity and a love for the natural world and provide excellent facilities to develop sporting abilities.

We are a two-form entry school, proudly offering our own Nursery. We also have a successful SEN Unit which caters for children with ASD and EHCP. Admission for this Unit sits with the EHCP team and not with main school admissions.

Our strong and active partnership with parents and the local community is fundamental to our children's wellbeing and success in school. We are committed to working closely with families at all times and support from families has helped us to achieve awards in July 2025. We are proud to have recently been awarded the Bronze Food for Life Award. We are the first school in West Northants to have been awarded this. Alongside this we have been awarded the Silver Healthy Schools Award and the West Northants Digital Innovation Award.

We are a friendly and welcoming school that is always striving to achieve the best for the children and families that we serve in our local community.
